Open Auditions for Lane and Stage Acts

Masonic Hall, 602 Meyer Rd.  Wentzville, MO

The St. Louis Renaissance Faire at Rotary Park in Wentzville, MO is looking for 6 to 12 street performer/buskers to entertain in the lanes at the Faire this coming season. We are seeking musicians, mimes, minstrels, magicians, jugglers, balladeers, and assorted variety artists. Performers are expected to provide their own era-appropriate costuming and props. Performers can pass the hat and may receive a small daily stipend, depending on the act.

The Faire is also looking for 3 to 6 street-theater-style stage acts appropriate for our stages, where the fourth wall is meant to be broken. St. Louis Renaissance Faire Open House!

Masonic Hall, 602 Meyer Rd.  Wentzville, MO

There will be displays and information about all guilds.  Whether your interested in becoming a member of Court, Villagers, Germans, Scots, Fae, Guards, Gypsies, Mariners, Front Gate, Orange (Cast Support) or Safety, staff will be present to answer your questions and provide you with recommendations.  Join us and find out how you can become part of the magic of bringing 1518 France to life this spring.

Never done anything like this before?  No problem!  You bring the interest and enthusiasm and we'll take care of the rest!

Mid-Winter's Ball

We welcome you to join all your Rennie friends for an evening of music, fun, and good cheer!

This is our annual kick-off dress-up social event for the New Season. Veterans, come reconnect with your favorite people! Newbies, come hang out with your new Rennie family! Garb, if you wish, from any era...

First the food. Rennies really know how to do it up right! The RSL Board of Directors will donate a main course, the beverages, and the paperware. It's up to YOU to round out the rest. Bring a dish, a dessert, a salad...whatever you'd like to share! Anne will be making suggestions for each Guild.

Dancing fun for all (both Renaissance period and 2012 period!). Come learn our top faves from 1518 - Maltese Bransle, Official Bransle, Scotland the Brave, and Korabushka! And then spend the evening gettin' down modern-style. As always, our very own Alesia Clardy will donate her spectacular talents as our DJ for the evening.

The photo booth will be open! Create a memory, pose in your garb with your favorite people.

There will also be a Raffle and Silent Auction. Oh...and door prizes too! Items are donated by RSL members, families, friends, and sponsors. All proceeds go directly into the RSL coffers and are used for the production of our Signature Events, and to maintain our Organization. Feel free to donate a special treasure or two to this worthy cause.

Mark your calendars now...and we look forward to seeing everyone at the 2012 Renaissance St. Louis Midwinter's Ball!!

Admission is $10 per person ($8 if you bring a food dish to share, or an item for the raffle).

Remember: this is an alcohol-free event.
