Oh No! The Pirates Have Landed!
Lyon gained much of it's importance because it is located on the Rhone River. Starting this year we have officially incorporated this into our faire in our redesigned warf area. Don your best sea faring garb and join us the first weekend of faire (May 19 & 20) as we welcome our new Mariner's guild. If you're a captain you can search for a new crew while the dock workers, sailers and marines mingle in the warf. If that's too much work, you could just sit back with a mug of ale and enjoy the sights and sounds featuring the Musical Blades and the Scallywags.

Renaissance Magazine Visits Memorial Day Weekend
The St. Louis Renaissance Faire will be the subject of a photo feature in the January 2013 issue of Renaissance Magazine. Please join us on the Saturday and Sunday of Memorial Day weekend and help us look our best for Lady Janet. It's time to show the rest of the country just how special our faire is.

2013 Brings 2 More Weekends of Faire
2013 is our crystal anniversary and we will celebrate the occasion by expanding from 4 to 6 weekends. We will open on May 18, 2013 and run through June 23, 2013. Tell your family and friends to mark their calendars and plan to attend during this special season.

Pirate Fest Takes A Hiatus
Because of the time, energy and resources involved in expanding the faire, we have suspended plans for the 2012 and 2013 St. Louis Pirate Fest. By every measure for our patrons, cast, merchants, and performers, the sixth season of the St. Louis Pirate Fest in 2011 was a rousing success. However we have decided that in order to make our Crystal Anniversary Season the best possible experience for our fans, we could not divide time, attention, and resources between both events.

June 2 & 3 Selected Performances Signed for The Deaf
Our third weekend, June 2 and 3, many of the St. Louis Renaissance Faire performances will again include sign language interpreters for our deaf and hard of hearing patrons. These men and women volunteer their time to provide this service and believe me, signing at a renaissance faire can be very different than most events they will attend and I know it stretches their abilities. But this makes for a fun time for all and we appreciate their contribution to make our faire more enjoyable for our guests.
